不可以在bay 3 和bay 4 之間混插乙太網連線模組（包括銅口pass-thru module）和san連線模組，而混插光口的pass-thru module和乙太網連線模組（或san連線模組）是允許的。bay 5-6上的bridge modules提供到bay 7-10的連線，它們不直接與刀片連線。bay 7-10支援高速的協議比如4x infiniband。
